Good golly Ms. Molly, you’re certainly on the ball. 

The Brown Bag Deli, a German Village institution known for great sandwiches, soups and dinner specials, recently welcomed a new neighbor.   And what a sweet neighbor it is.

Bakery Gingham transformed Brown Bag’s former retail wine space into a super cute dessert emporium selling cookies, biscotti, granola bars, buckeyes, and, best of all, cupcakes.  Its philosophy is to keep things simple and comfortable, while only using the freshest ingredients.  In fact, owner and baker Amanda Ellis prides herself that everything on the menu is pronounceable, recognizable, and delectable. 

Bakery Gingham currently offers four cupcake classics everyday - Grandpa’s Coffee, Haute Chocolate, Snowball, and Ultra-Violet White.  Of course, that is just the tip of the icing.  Cupcake of the day flavors include Keylime, Funky Monkey, Dreamscicle, Buckeye Nation and many more.

Bakery Gingham can also assist with any full-size cake needs.  Amanda studied cake-making with one of the country’s top cake designers and enjoys working with clients to create edible masterpieces for weddings and other special events.  Please allow seven days for cake and large quantity cupcake orders.

The Brown Bag Deli and Bakery Gingham will welcome hungry Village people this Sunday evening for Village Lights, a night of shopping, dining and strolling through the luminary-lighted streets of German Village.  Be sure to stop by for a treat - you’ll be plaid you did.
