Columbus restaurants want you.  And a local powerhouse just increased, er, make that lowered, the steaks… 

Today, Lindey’s Restaurant & Bar (click on link) in German Village officially debuts a new value menu aimed squarely at your wallet (and in a very good way).

The Bar Menu, along with a new specialty drink menu, will be offered daily at the restaurant’s famous bar from 4:30 to 6:30 PM and from 9 to 11 PM on Thursdays and 10 PM to Midnight on Saturdays.

Menu items include the Gigantic Meatball for $5, All American Burger for $3, Slice of Lindey’s (cheese or pepperoni) for $1, Lindenhuaf Chips for $1, Beef in a Box (charred rib eye with Asian slaw) for $5, and Micro Crab Cakes for $5.  The drink menu features a Goombay Smash, Tony’s Famous Lemon Drop, and the Liquid Carrot Cake dessert martini, to name just a few.

Even better, Lindey’s bar will offer significant drink discounts during the “happy” hours of 4:30 to 6:30 PM.

In other value news, Dine Originals Columbus kicks-off restaurant week (click on link) today with amazing fixed-price menus at 42 of Central Ohio’s favorite dining establishments.  Think 3-course tasting menus for either $15 or $30.

Move over Ronald, value menus have never tasted so good in Columbus.
