What do you get when you combine creativity, a sweet tooth and a newly vacant space?  German Village’s newest donut shop.

Started by two sisters, Belle’s Homemade opened this past weekend in the old Bakery Gingham location and carries a variety of homemade donuts, cookies, and hand-rolled caramels.  Yesterday, selections included six varieties of donuts, toffee chunk cookies, iced sugar cookies, caramel rolls and more. 

Donuts are made fresh each morning at the duo’s off-site bakery, then delivered to the shop each morning by 8AM.  And since each day’s supply is limited (they stay open until sold out), special orders are encouraged.
