Here’s a tip on how to survive Columbus’ not-so-perfect November weather - drink more alcohol!  Apparently, some Central Ohio restaurants agree and have scheduled tastings opportunities this week.

Tonight (Nov. 11) at 7 PM, Maca Cafe hosts a tasting of eight “perfect wines for the holidays,” including four reds, three whites and one sparkling.  The cost is $35 per person and reservations are required.  Details at macahome.com (click highlighted links for information).

On Wednesday, November 12th, the Refectory welcomes Scotch Master Winston Evans and the Single Malt Whiskies of The Glenlivet Distillery.  Enjoy a special four-course dinner for $75 per person.  Also on Wednesday, Tutto Vino will offer a tasting of ten wines to accompany Thanksgiving dinner for $20.

Thursday, November 13th, brings a wine tasting to Spagio Cellars to share holiday gift ideas.  The prepaid $49.50 includes food and wine. 

Finally, on Friday, November 14th, head to Due Amici for Drinks in the Dark.  All the lights go out at 10 PM - music provided by DJ Patrick.
