Columbus (Long) Weekend Agenda
While some individuals will enjoy a long President’s Day weekend outside of the city, we have some opportunities to escape from the return of winter without leaving metro Columbus (while also saving some hard-earned Washingtons and Lincolns).
Eat - Feel some heat. The Fiery Food Festival visits the Columbus North Market on Saturday. See cooking demonstrations, sample seriously spicy food (including the Chili Cook-off) and enjoy live music throughout the day.
Live - Survive the elements. Taking Shelter, an exhibition examining the natural desire for shelter through a selection of artworks and social interactions, opened at the Canzani Center at CCAD this week. Show runs through April 5th.
Gaze - See a lot of stars. The Perkins Observatory hosts public programs on Friday and Saturday nights starting at 8 PM. Limited availability - purchase tickets in advance or call 740.363.1257 for additional details.
Buy - Collect like Martha. Purchase the latest extraordinary ceramic tableware from renowned designer Frances Palmer (featured in this month’s Living magazine). Available exclusively at Found/Rose Bredl, 21 West Olentangy Street, Powell, OH. 614.781.0000
